Revelation needs to be understood in the light of the whole of scripture and not a book in isolation. All scripture is God-breathed and we can never say that some verses are more important than others. We have to study scripture as a whole.

Revelation 7 part 6
But for me, the main message here is that God has chosen a number of Israelites, 144,000,that they are the first-fruits of many others, that they are sealed by salvation into Christ Jesus and they will be protected by their faithful Father.

I would suggest that since Matthew 24 and Revelation 6 are running parallel and describe remarkably similar sequences, we can therefore assert that Christ will gather the elect, immediately before the wrath of God is poured out upon this earth.

So the end-time sequence of Matthew 24 and Revelation 6 are the same: the tribulation, then the disturbances then the return of Christ. Once again we see that Revelation 6 runs remarkably parallel with the Olivet Discourse of Matthew 24.
